Your Choices

Investment Options

Superannuation is a long term investment.  When you first start contributing to super, you may have 40 years or more to retirement, and you can afford to see fluctuation in returns from year to year.  If you’re about to retire, however, you may prefer to invest in a more stable option.

To help you manage your risk, Christian Super offers a range of 5 different investment options, from 100% Shares to 100% Cash.  The Options are:

  • Ethical Shares (100% Shares)
  • Ethical Growth (70% Growth Assets, 30% Defensive Assets)
  • Ethical Balanced (50% Growth Assets, 50% Defensive Assets)
  • Ethical Stable (30% Growth Assets, 70% Defensive Assets)
  • Ethical Cash (100% Cash)

Each option has its own performance target, as well as an expectation of how often it may produce a negative return.  These will help you to make a decision.  Generally, the option that you are most comfortable with is the best choice to make, but you may want to speak to a Financial Planner to help you with your decision.

You may change your investment option at any time without cost.  Your change will generally be implemented within two weeks of us receiving your form.  You can also change your investment option online with MemberAccess.
