Death & Disablement

Our death insurance provides a lump sum benefit to your dependants in the event of your death, while our disablement insurance provides a lump sum benefit to you if you become totally and permanently disabled.

Generally, you are considered to be totally and permanently disabled in the following circumstances:

  • If, at the time of injury/illness, you were regularly employed for at least fifteen hours a week, and after six months absence you are still unable to work in an occupation for which you are qualified by education, training or experience; or
  • You lose the use of two limbs, both eyes, or a limb and an eye; or
  • As a result of injury/illness, for the last six months you have been unable to perform at least two of the following five activities of daily living without assistance: bathing and showering; dressing and undressing; feeding; toileting; and getting in and out of a bed/chair.

By securing your future against the unexpected with Christian Super, you will also have the opportunity to apply for life insurance through superannuation and to thus secure assets in a way that benefits the whole family.
