Complete the set up of your Christian Super account

Whether you are new to Christian Super or have been with us for some time, it is important to complete the set up of your account. This will give you peace of mind that your account is growing properly, and that you are not paying any unnecessary fees. Our Member Care Team have created a step-by-step guide that you can follow to complete the set up of your account.

 


Complete your contact details

Keeping your contact details up to date ensures that you won’t miss out on any important correspondence or changes to your Christian Super account.

You can update your contact details by following the steps below:

  1. Click here to log in to MemberAccess
  2. Hover over the ‘MEMBER’ tab and select ‘PERSONAL DETAILS’
  3. Click ‘update’ and select the relevant details.
  4. Click ‘UPDATE’ at the bottom of the page to finalise your changes

 


Update your employer

To avoid having multiple superannuation accounts, it’s important to let your employer know where to make your super contributions. To nominate Christian Super as your chosen fund, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Download our Choice of Fund Form here
  2. Complete the Choice of Fund Form and give it to your employer

 


Update your Occupation Code

Eligible Christian Super members receive automatic Death, Total and Permanent Disablement, and Income Protection insurance with their accounts. It is important to make sure that your Occupation Code is correct as your level of cover and weekly insurance premiums are determined by the type of work you do. Please read our Insurance Guide to find out which occupation code best suits you.

You can update your Occupation Code by following the steps below:

  1. Click here to log in to MemberAccess
  2. Hover over the ‘MEMBER’ tab and select ‘PERSONAL DETAILS’
  3. Click ‘update’ and select the relevant Occupation Code
  4. Click ‘UPDATE’ at the bottom of the page to finalise your changes

 


Combine your other super*

Combining your super into one account is an important step in growing your long-term super savings. It is easier to keep track of and avoids paying multiple fees, saving you both time and money. It can also help you find any lost or unclaimed super you may have. If you want to combine your other super into your Christian Super account, you can follow one of the methods below:

Method 1 – Combine your super through MemberAccess

  1. Click here to log in to MemberAccess
  2. Click on ‘CONSOLIDATE SUPER’
  3. Follow the prompts to search and consolidate your accounts (Please note, you may need to verify your I.D)

Method 2 – Combine your super through MyGov

  1. Log in into your MyGov account
  2. Select the Australian Taxation Office service tile or tab
  3. Select ‘Your Super’ and follow the prompts to consolidate your super.

Update your beneficiaries

It is important to plan for the future and let us know where you want your super and any insurance benefits to go, in the event of your death. You can choose to make a ‘Non-binding nomination’ which is not legally binding but will be considered; or you can make a ‘Binding nomination’ that is legally binding and will ensure your super and insurance benefits will go to the person(s) you nominate.

You can update your beneficiaries by following the steps below:

  1. Click here to log in to MemberAccess
  2. Hover over the ‘MEMBER’ tab and select ‘BENEFICIARIES’.
  3. Click ‘ADD BENEFICIARY’, ‘EDIT’ or ‘REMOVE’ to update your non-binding beneficiary
  4. Check that the details you entered are correct and click ‘CONTINUE’
  5. Click on ‘CONFIRM’ to proceed with updating your non-binding beneficiary
