Significant Event Notice
Investment Fee Change effective 1 October 2020
Christian Super has been able to reduce the overall investment fees and costs that are paid to our external investment managers, resulting in an estimated saving of $1.4 million each year.
As a profit-to-member fund, these savings are being passed onto Christian Super members.
We have also reviewed the way that investment fees and costs are allocated between our investment options. This has resulted in an adjustment to investment option fees to better reflect the underlying costs of each option.
What does this mean for me?
In line with the reduction in overall investment costs, investment fees will decrease for most of our members. However, some members will pay slightly higher investment fees depending on the investment options they have chosen.
The table below shows the annual difference in fees and costs for a typical member with $50,000 invested in our default My Ethical Super option:
Current | From 1 October | Difference | |
Administration Fee | $200 | $200 | No change |
Investment Fee | $225 | $190 | $35 less |
Indirect Cost Ratio | $275 | $255 | $20 less |
Total Fees and Costs | $700 | $645 | $55 less |
Overall investment fees and costs will increase slightly for some investment options – further details are available on our website.
